Easy Meatballs in Dijon Gravy

  • Meatballs
  • 1.5 lbs ground beef

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • 2 tsp dried parsley

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 1 large egg

  • 1/4 cup seasoned breadcrumbs

  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp ground pepper

  • 1/4 tsp ground all spice

  • 2 Tbsp milk

  • Dijon Gravy
  • 3 Tbsp salted butter

  • 2 tsp dijon mustard

  • 1 1/2 cups beef broth

  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup milk


  • In a large bowl, mix together all of the meatball ingredients until fully combined.
  • Form balls with the meat mixture with your hands or a cookie scoop. Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and place in the freezer for 5-10 minutes.
  • On a large skillet, heat some oil. Brown the meatballs on all sides until cooked through. Remove from the saucepan. Set aside.
  • On the skillet, melt the butter. Whisk in the flour until medium brown. Pour in the broth and simmer until thickened. Add in the milk and mustard. Simmer until thick and creamy.
  • Place the meatballs in the sauce and cook until the meatballs are heated through.
